Snowga is a great mixture of snowshoeing and yoga. A perfect blend of physical exertion and mental meditation while engaging your spirit with nature. Our classes are approximately one and a half hours. You start by warming up the body for 15 minutes with snowshoeing on a beautiful trail and then come to a clearing to engage in the standing portion of yoga using your poles for support and then continue on with a contemplative trek of snowshoeing in silence to immerse your senses in the experience and finishing with a flow series of yoga moves while lying on yoga mats in the snow.
Each week, the class will be at a different location within a 10 minute vicinity of Richland Center. This will allow for a different experience each week. Each location will be determined by the instructors and will be based on snow depth, wind, overall temperature and other trail conditions. Location will be indicated to each participant via email 24 hours prior class.
Our classes are taught by Catrina, your yoga guide and Teri, your snowshoe expert.
Snowga is great for beginners and there is no body image anxiety or performance pressure as your bulky winter clothing allows you to be warm, covered, and cozy.
